Sign up Log in. The original Pond was a little too cute. It's good to see that EA has added more to this sequel and made it acceptable for a broader audience. Great action, fantastic backgrounds, a wide variety of different levels and decent game play set this game head and fin above the rest.
I didn't like the first Pond adventure at all. The sequel is totally cool! I love the new techniques and the bosses are huge and silly. The best thing about it is the game play, it is really fun to play and the different level have plenty of variety.
Can't wait for Pond 3. As the only reviewer who found some humor in the first James Pond adventure, I must say that Robocod is a definite improvement. Kids will love the high quality graphics and cartoonish tunes, and diehard gamers will have fun with the huge level bosses!
Robocod is just fun. The ever-popular James Pond is now appearing on the Game Gear. The one-player action cart takes Pond jumping, stretching and climbing across nine missions and through more than 64 worlds. Pond rides airplanes, cars, and bathtubs as he stretches, climbs, and jumps through this 4-meg adventure.
James Pond is back in a new Game Gear cart, and his enchant-ingly goofy game play is back as well. James Pond II is a direct translation of the SNES title, and its colorful graphics and merry-go-round music make it one of the better-looking and bettersounding Game Gear carts.
Pond is almost too cute. In fact, a little more excitement and variety in the action would've made Robocod a bigger fish in the pond. Pond is better in his original Genesis adventures. However, if you really can't find any other way to spend an afternoon, check out James Pond II. James Pond, that fearless secret agent, has made his way to the Amiga CD This remake of a popular Genesis cart has better music and more colorful backgrounds.
Essentially, the game is the same. The ruthless Dr. Maybe has taken over the North Pole toy factories and has made all the toys into deadly weapons. If you want a taste of Bit, James Pond will whet your whistle for non-stop action and adventure. James Pond may be fine for the Genesis, but this game doesn't belong on Bit Amiga system.
The full-screen full-motion video is extremely pixelized. The music is really good, and it suits the game well. It is also very colorful if not too much in some areas.
