I can confirm this issue on one server but not another. These servers are running WHSv1. After a reboot of the problem server I was able to download and install this mornings update from the Console but the issue still exists if I were to run the updates from Windows Update.
Don't try this workaround to your domain controller. No way to use MicrosoftUpdate. This is a temporary solution at best and not a permanent solution. Temporarily setting the date back works for me too.
Setting the date back for WHS does not work. Need to use the previously mentioned process, stop services, delete dir then re-enable services. Works well then. I have two WHS boxes and the date trick would not work on either. I simply renamed the authcab.
Are your servers using Windows Time service to keep accurate time? You might need to do " net stop w32time " before you change the date.
